Client Strategy & DeliveryThe Accelerate with Google (AWG) marketing team is responsible for promoting a diverse portfolio of events — from flagship gatherings like YouTube Festival and OMR with hundreds of delegates, to smaller local market events run by regional teams across Europe. Each campaign requires multiple email sends (invitations, reminders, and post-event follow-ups), translated into up to eight different languages.
The traditional process was deeply fragmented. Local market teams would submit campaign requests to the central team, but these requests were frequently incomplete — arriving piecemeal, missing critical information, and lacking the structure needed to build effective campaigns. The first time a local marketer would see what their campaign actually looked like was after it had been built, leading to extensive rounds of revision and back-and-forth.
These local market teams were also resistant to changing their established processes, making it difficult to enforce structured briefs. The result was a cascade of problems: lower quality campaigns, missed deadlines, increased stress on the central team, and ultimately a decision to limit what local markets could request — standardizing campaigns to the point where creativity and customization were sacrificed.

Rather than accepting the status quo, we flipped the entire process on its head. We rapidly built a purpose-designed tool that empowers local market teams to work directly with the campaign templates — seeing exactly what their email campaigns will look like before they are ever submitted for production.
The tool introduces a structured five-step wizard that guides marketers through Campaign Details, Brief Upload, AI Extraction, Copy Editing, and Review & Submit. This workflow ensures that every campaign arrives at the central team as a complete, reviewed package rather than a half-formed request.
